​As the founder of DOG AND ROSE MEDIA, and Senior Video Producer for PETERSON'S, with a 12+ year career producing high production value content, Sarah is well-versed in crafting innovative educational video content, uncovering lost heroes throughout history and transforming medieval manuscript illuminations into motion graphic animations for the modern age 🔗

Her films frequently champion the experiences of underrepresented populations. MENSCHEN spotlights Down Syndrome in the last days of WWII, competing in the TRANSATLANTIC TALENT LAB's Golden Egg Competition at Reykjavik International Film Festival and distributed by Shorts International on VOD. As a writer, her screenplays have been finalists with American Gem, Sundance Institute, and Big Vision Empty Wallet development programs.

Lotfi has presented on independent filmmaking for the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva and New York City, taught film at the University of Colorado, and is an alum of the EMMY FOUNDATION. Her work has been featured in FILM SNOBBERY, FILM THREAT, WIPO magazine (Geneva, Switzerland), The Huffington Post (New York), Film Courage (Los Angeles), and Screen Read (Bonn, Germany).
 

Other production credits include THE RIDER (2017) and HBO's CINEMA VERITE: THE SAGA OF AN AMERICAN FAMILY (2011) along with work in reality with ABC and National Geographic. ​

Sarah can usually be found with her nose behind a history book or obsessing over recreating an authentic fifteenth century houppelande and headdress with no particular occasion in mind (except to impress her toddler). She also occasionally reviews film and tv on LETTERBOX as the filmmaiden.
